“There is a vitality, a life force, an energy, a quickening that is translated through you into action, and because there is only one of you in all time, this expression is unique. And if you block it, it will never exist through any other medium and will be lost.”  - Martha Graham

The importance of expression is continually growing in me. It comes in many colors and forms; mine tends to be music and lyrics. Writing from any given topic is not something my brain is yet trained to do. I have to release and write from my present emotions which usually runs parallel with a current struggle, conflict, or experience.

I am able to sing thoughts and feelings that I might not necessarily say out loud otherwise, some of which are about or directed at an individual though they will never know. I've had the unique opportunity to sing very specific songs about someone when they are in the room. It's daunting, yet deeply satisfying, especially when I can sing and look them right in the eye.. (Think about that the next time I look at you when Im singing...)

Now I know a beauty of music is the ability to give any song your own meaning in how it relates to you. That being said, I want to give you some perspective and maybe create some deeper meaning for you when you listen to my songs. I will try my best not to step on your interpretations toes.

One song at a time, you can be enlightened to some new meaning in my expression and hopefully encouraged to find your own way to release and express yourself. If nothing else, you'll know me just a little bit better.

Thank you for giving me a reason to continue pursuing music.
